I have a question for anyone who has installed there own stereo.

My question is about the metal bracket that the stereo screws go in. On my X the metal bracket sticks out past the plastic and doesn't allow the installation kit to fit. This is only on the right side, the left side is fine. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions or know if the dealer would fix it.
