Well, all the accessories are 12 volt, and the oem's on the 2000 used 35 watt halogen bulbs....it might be able to handle 55 watts...but I know for a FACT that 2 100 watt bulbs will melt things.

It's really not hard to wire the Hellas. Keep your stock fogs and add a set of 500's to that. If you melt your wires you'll have neither/nor.

X2 - However, you COULD take out the stock fogs and use the wiring to trigger a bigger relay, adding your own wiring from the battery to the new lights. That way, you could leave the stock wiring in place, use the switch on the steering column to activate your new lights and not have to worry about anything melting. It would also be easy to revert back to stock if you ever wanted to sell your truck.

Don't worry about the wiring. As Ebeauchea said, it's really easy to do (I think I helped him when he added his...). I'll help in any way I can if you have any questions.

you should be fine if the hella's are 55watt. i am running 55watt lights on my stock wiring for over a year now with no problems, and i have my fogs on ALL the time.

On my 01 i ran 2 cheapo 100w lights on the stock wiring and switch with no problems at all. Did the same thing with my PIAA's with 100w bulbs for almost 2 years and still no problems. My 00 is getting the same setup after i can get a Shrock.
