well, my X handled the drive from Georgia to New Jersey over the July 4th weekend like a champ. Until i got there, and had to honk my horn, at which point, a muted whimper was all that i could hear. i checked the battery, 12.79V. over the next couple of days, it (the horn) got better. could this have been caused by the day long drive draining the battery, or all the rain that pounded me for the entire drive?

damn, i was hoping to use it as an excuse to get an optima battery wink (and a mean green alternator and a loud-a$$ new horn wink )...hehe...

My original horn was more than a whimper, but it was definitely muted, noticeably more so when the vehicle was cold. I didn't even look for water. I just took it in. The dealer replaced the horn, and it blasts good now.
