I am going to buy the Cobra 75 CB and want a glass antenna so I don't have a huge rack mounted whip.

I understand that quality will suffer but I am looking for any help that can be given for an effective ant.

I think you can get those type antennas at your local 'rat-shack'. They have the ones that look like cellular antennas. If you aren't really serious about the CB and only use it for trips, this might be the way to go. Your range and SWR will really suffer though.

Be careful with that antenna if you go into the woods. I have seen more than one of these ripped off the glass by a stray branch.
