I was just up in Helen this weekend, so I snapped a few pics at Sleepy Hollow. (Also, I've never been up there, so I thought I'd at least find out where it was.) I remember someone said they were going up there to do that, so I appologize if I'm stepping on any toes here.





I don't want to slam any dialup users with a bunch of pics, so I'll just note that you can get some low-res pics here , and (more) hi-res pics here .

For anyone else who's new, and plans to head to the Oktoberfest gathering, the GPS coordinates posted in that thread are dead-on. But if you like directions:
-Take a right on Hwy 356 from Hwy 75 just north of Helen.
-Go past Unicoi St. Park, and make a sharp right onto Sky Lake Rd.
-Sleepy Hollow will be on your left about .5 mi.

Helen is a GORGEOUS area. I wish I'd had SOME kind of OHV when I went (at the time, I was the owner of a horrible 1996 Geo Metro) several years back. Anna Ruby Falls is a really fun hike.

I can't find any Edit links. I see the Delete Topic link though. I thought that would allow me to remove the thread since I started it. Apparently not (only moderators...)

The field to the right of the group pavillion, just over the little bridge is where the SXFC will host the Octoberfest. It's a very large field so theres plenty of room. We spoke to Jack, the camps manager, on Saturday. I think he's looking forward to seeing so many Xterra's and Frontier's. He is as excited as we are and assures us that he will take good care of us.
