Yes it can be done in your driveway. Very easy to do.

Disavantages is it will require an alignment if you crank them very far and can lead to premature steering parts failure. Although not as quickly as a full 3 inch lift it will still wear the parts a bit faster.

You will need an Alignment...I have not done one yet, but will soon...Dirtguy and I done mine in front of his house on the street (it was leveled)...we put the Rear Shackles and cranked up the Torsions and it took us around 1 hr to do everything...very easy to do, once you do it...got around 1-1/2" of extra height...

then this is the full 3" lift

i find it hard to believe you couldn't find any pics of lifted xterras here. but then again a lot of pics end up being dead links sometimes.

That's a sharp looking truck Clapto - I remember when you first posted that pic after the lift.

CV, do you have the steering upgraded too?

Thanks for the PM by the way. I already have my sliders on order and plan on ordering the parts for the lift (with Bilsteins) and steering for an install during spring!

i think im going to do the torsion bar crank and rear shackles. After i get slider and some other toys i may do 3" suspension if i find it needed.

is the AC steering kit any good?
