How the hell did you do that?

Yeah it's bad. It's what's left of my front diff. Not sure how I managed to break the teeth off. I've already swapped it other with another one. Now I just rebuild this one and keep it as a spare.

How's your t-case chain?... I had something similar happen (ring gear about 3 years ago) and also ended up streching the t-case chain.

Wowzers Powerguy, what situation were you in that caused that,Me would likes to stay away from it. You didnt have a locker in there did you? Doesnt look like it from the pics but the again it could be a welded diff.

Yeah it's the front diff. I think it's been going for some time. The last time out just finished off.

Yeah I thought the half shaft would fail before the gears. The ring gear looks good. I'm hoping the T-case chain is okay. I haven't load tested the new used diff yet but I will soon.

so is that due to normal wear? or what did you do? were there any sort of noises/signs before that happened? btw: ouch.
