It's nice to see the X doing what it was made to do! Please tell us, how did it handle? Did you have any parts break, what were the rest of the roads like? Did you get to more off-road sections?

Shahram: this trip is very excited.
There were 6 SUVs to join for this trip which was about 2200 miles.We spent 7 days finishing the trip .We met all kinds of roads, such as mud, rain, snow.My X worked well, and I was satisfied.

How/why did you import a USA Xterra? Was the Paladin available at the time?

OffroadX: i bought it from Zhengzhou NISSAN(http://www.zznissan.com.cn). Paladin have been available since 2003. But Paladin is weaker than X.

Did Zhengzhou import the Xterra on request, or were they importing them already for sale? How much did it cost, and for comparison, how much does the Paladin cost?

Those are some great photos. Maybe one of the 4-wheel drive clubs can look into a sort of 4wheel excursion exchange program or something.

In 2002,Zhengzhou Nissan have ever imported about 200 Xterra for research and sale. At that time, the price of Xterra was about $50,000. It was so expensive that no one would buy it. The next year,Zhengzhou Nissan announced the Chinese version Xterra - Paladin. Its price varied from $25,000 to $35,000. The most expensive Paladin was Paladin SE equiped with a VG33E engine. In 2004,Zhengzhou Nissan would deal with the old Xterra which couldn't be saled out, so they reduced the price to $30,000. Then I was just looking for a suv.Because Xterra is more cheaper and more rougher than Paladin SE, I bought it.

Note: In China, the enviroment of using vechile is bad now. In my example, I spend more money to buy a old version Xterra. And its accessories is hard to find. So I always pray the accident is far away from me.

This must be the 1995 Y-terra Himalayan White, four on the floor, 4x4. Dubbed the Yak-Terra. Dig that power steering and upholstery. Guess they were only released in China, LOL J/K no offense to the religion.

What makes the Paladin weaker and the Xterra rougher? I know the Paladin offers a leather interior and artificial wood trim and is a little more fancy than the Xterra, but I would think that they are the same mechanically and would be comparable.
