So for anyone who read my post in the General forum, I was snowed in, in Reno and the hotel staff was forbidding people to take the treacherous highways, heck they even told us not to drive to the mall that was 11 miles away. I ended up upgrading my impala for a "not as good as my x" trailblazer and we drove up to Northstar-at-Tahoe.

First off, the chains/4x4 mandatory warning was ridiculous. I could have driven those conditions easily with a regular 2wd car. That snowfall seemed pretty tame and normal to what we're use to up here in the okanagan. Anyways, here are some scenic pics. I wish i had an SLR.

2004? and you live so close? I loved it down there. Will definitely check out more resorts in the future.

A lot of locals kept telling us that nothing will compare to Whistler but I'll have to say we were quite impressed with the snow. It's less humid down there so the snow is more powdery than we ever get here. Granted the trails were not as long but Im definitely in love with the area. Great tree runs on Northstar. I cant wait to check out Squaw, Heavenly, Sierra and Rose etc.

The mountains here in BC are getting over crowded and busy. Great place! [ThumbsUp]

My brother works at Northstar and he said they got about close to 5 feet of snow. Lucky bastard gets to ski everyday. Great pictures
