The new System of a Down album...I recommend playing it very loud. Blow out those stock speakers.

i have a pioneer mp3 player in my dash, so when i have a craving for certain music, i just download, burn, and shuffle, whalla, instant personalized radio station. 10 hrs on one disc is hard to beat, thats why i dont get xm, why pay for something i already have, and its taylor made, only, and only, what i want.
disc in the player now:
metallica black sabbath ozzy led zeppelin pink floyd queen the doors the eagles tom petty santana ac/dc police jimi hendrix smashing pumkins smashmouth blink 182 lit phil collins genesis nirvana nine inch nails busta rhymes leaders of the new school digable planets eminem a tribe called quest (this is all on 1 disc, about 10 songs each, some more, some less)
i listen to everything, except country (maybe a few songs), and opera.
i have an all rap cd (mostly old school, hate the new shit).
comedy cd: sam kinison andrew dice clay dennis leary dave chappel bill cosby richard pryor jeff foxworthy
i also have a classic house cd, with singles and full mixes (all old school, late 80's early 90's):
farley jackmaster funk bad boy bill too cool chris cool rock steady julian jumpin perez ralphie rockin rosario fast eddie micky mixin oliver

Kind of odd seeing Phil Collins and Genesis mixed in a lot of these posts. Do you all hear the same thing I do when I hear that music?

Phil Collins and etc. are pioneers in modern music. If you listen to rap, chances are some Phil samples are in there I happen to like just about everything music wise other than contemporary christian.

I listen to most of what has been mentioned here... but two of my favorite groups were missing, so I'll give them a shout. Breaking Benjamin is a kick ass band- I was listening to them all afternoon while grading papers. Their newest CD We Are Not Alone rocks.
Second group is a more local group from Annapolis- but rock fans in MD, VA, NJ and PA ought to check them out. They are called Gold Mind Squad, and they are freaking AWESOME. The rest of the country needs to watch out, cuz they are up and coming. They opened HFS'tival this year, and have a CD out called The Plague of Popularity. Very good group- check them out.
