Now all you need to do is pull santa behind your truck christmas morning and put some reindeer on your roof. That will make some kids smile.

He Leeschill! How did you work around that break in the roofline with the lights...did you have to use extension cords to get back over that archway? I just ask, because my roof breaks in a similar way. -cbx

I have three extension cords unfortunately. I am not that electrically inclined and inquired to my father in law (superintendent for custom homes). The trouble I had was the icicle lights are two pronged and extension cords are three pronged. Went the adapter route but the positive prong and negative prong still did not connect with the adapter. I had to do some shoving to get them connected which is not recommended from what I understand. He said not to connect more than 4 strands to one outlet. SSSSOOOOO, with all that said, if you notice the roof break is connected down to everything on the right (right roof lights, palm tree, and three mini christmas trees on the ground. The strands above the garage have 4 strands that connect down to an outlet and everything left of the garage connect to another outlet.....to be honest with you, I feel like Clark Griswald....

You can use a power inverter to power the lights, right?

If you choose to do the plug into the cigarette lighter route it won't be able to handle as much. I'm sure the vehicle wiring has a lot to do with it, go direct off the battery and you'll be amazed how many lights a 400 watt'r (for example) will handle. I used 3 separate one's for the lights but could have powered almost all of them by the one under the hood, just didn't want to run extension cords from everywhere.

And if you have an aftermarket bumper, you can do this: Like Mike said though- Go straight off the battery. Even a high watt inverter will blow when you're trying to run 6 stands of light and a reindeer! I know!
