Very entertaining. Maybe I was a smart kid or just a major dork, but back when I was young, when we were going to do somehting stupid at night that would potentially involve crossing the lines of legal activities, we didn't use really bright head lights to see what we were doing. Invest in some cheap night vision goggles. To be really stealthy, put red and blue cellophane over your parking lights - gives off a pseudo-IR wavelength. Also, how the hell do you get an Xterra stuck in a parking lot? The only time I got mine stuck was when we had a road drift over with 2ft of snow and I high centered. Didn't need a car to pull me out, that's for sure. I sure as hell wouldn't tape something like that and would die before allowing it to be posted on the internet.

I got stuck in the parking lot, crashing into snow banks and seeing how far I could get. My front tires dug holes, and one of my back tires was on ice, since the LSD does nothing, I was stuck.

You purposely drove into packed snow in a parking lot next to other parked cars? I guess your title fits then. I still would not have filmed it.

No one on this site does that? In high school we used to have contests to see how could get the highest in the snow bank in the parking lot, it was great, they used to have these huge snow piles. I remember getting my trooper stuck because the hitch was dug right into the pavement, it would be like straight up and down. I guess everyone on here must be pussys.

Yet another demonstration of the warm personal comfort and security that the anonyminity of the internet provides to individuals.

yes dude, in high school some people at my school did the same thing. the thing is, they were what we call morons and usually always got suspended or expelled from school.

cant say i didnt have fun with my truck in the snow, but most of the fun i had was either on a trail or just waking up in the morning with 3 feet of unplowed snow to barge through on the WAY to school... not in a parking lot trying to look cool to all my friends.

whatever though, here I am telling a person only 2 years younger than me that hes immature. :p

Yea, high school...what was that, a year ago for you? You're maturity has really "blossomed" since then.

Before you start calling us all "pussies" just because we don't go looking to get our trucks stuck in a fucking parking lot, you should maybe rethink what you've said and when you've said it.

Example? My pleasure! Found on page 2 of this thread:

Tell me, is getting your truck stuck in a parking lot the type of "real off-roading" you were referring to?

When I was teaching at a High School some of the students that didn't pay attention in science class would see how far up the piles of snow at the ends of the parking lot they could get. Then in their infinite wisdom they would to off to class allowing the snow to melt and their vehicle to sink into the ten foot high mound of snow.

The great part was they would do this more than once.

It was good for a laugh at the end of the day, but nothing compared to this thread!

In high school - when there was snow on the ground, which was like once in 4 years - we simply threw snowballs at each other. I guess I fail to see the "coolness" of driving up onto a pile of snow. Now, from looking at this movie, your truck looks pretty much parallel to the parking surface, which indicates that you didn't get very far up said snow pile. My guess is that the approach angle required to mount the snow pile exceeded that of the Xterra, which a real offroader like yourself should probably know about. Finally, becareful who you call a pussy around here. Until you've strapped on an armored vest, grabbed a weapon, and ran full throttle into a deadly situation solely because an American had been shot, you have zero right to call several of the members here a pussy. Ten-to-one, the only pussy you've seen is when you're popping zits in the mirror.

Jesus guys, you've abused this kid enough now. To play devil's advocate, I ask you all: What were YOU doing when you were 19? Barely learning how to change oil in your Escorts? As far as fabricating, anyone who wants to do it has to start somewhere, and why not do it on something non life threatening like light tabs (unlike our friend, Mr. Van Meter).

Just because you wouldn't do this to your truck doesn't mean other shouldn't do it to theirs. You'd probably all be gasping for air based on some of the things I've done to my Frontier, but every mod there is functional, as are this kid's light tabs. I too don't much care about paint on a wheeler. That's what they made Herculiner for.

3-4 years ago, many of you thought you were doing "serious" wheeling too in your first 4x4, the Xterra....on the crap highway tires, no lift, etc. You put on an ARB bumper or a set of sliders and thought you all had bad ass rigs. And guys on other 4x4 boards all laughed at you because you thought you were hard core. Funny how it's all turned around.

The reason the truck probably doesn't have gnarly tires, armor, lift, etc, is because this is a 19 year old kid who probably can't afford all that crap now. So he's having fun with what he has.

Who cares who bought it for him. Granted, I don't think you learn as much about responsibility and the cost of things when mommy and daddy foot the bills for you, but there isn't anyone here who would have turned mommy and daddy down if they were buying you a late model 4x4.

Now carry on. Despite how ugly you all get towards people who have differing opionions and priorities, this has been fun reading.

Oh, one last thing....If this kid was related to MVM, the lights, tabs, and probably the whole damn hatch would have fallen off by now. [LOL]

I agree to a certain extent. My truck is an eyesore. I think the problem and Carlton pointed out is all the other stupid shit he has suggested.

Yeah, his advice is best kept to himself. I'll agree with that.

wonder if he'd rather have 120psi of air shot up his ass vs. 30 lbs eek
