Just out of curiosity, if you didn't want to hear people's opinions on this, why did you post it to the forum?

Well I didn’t think I would get a bunch of jackasses replying that don’t do any real off-roading and that don’t know anything about welding.

Looks like a great setup.
I think you may find the metal to be too thin to keep them positioned properly.
If you don't care about your paint.....
f%ck it!
Anybody who's ever wheeled in the northeast should be able to appreciate a setup that protects their lights from big branches!

Look no one was really bashing you out front they just gave their opinions. But you know how things work around here, if you get people wood they will make a fire. Not everyone on here off roads but a lot of us who frequent this site do off road so don't be saying we don't know anything about off roading just because we wouldnt have put our lights there. Either way either way everyone on here has there own opinion since its online they have no problem in sharing it. As long as you like it then more power to ya!

I was bashing him, I wheel, I can weld.....I could not give 2 shits about the fact he made his truck look like it came out of a 5th grade shop class...just find it knee slapping that he has such a need for back up lights to be hidden from branches that he spends $20 and ruins his rear hatch..........again great entertainment

mounted mine upside down on my roof rack, so the lights are under the rack (this way they don't get hit by branches) as are trails are tight as hell down here. been there couple years with no problems.

Another alternative involves mounting something else on the rack to protect the lights from damage. Yakima makes a nice one. I say do what you want to your truck, if that's what turns you on. I'm not gonna knock your choice of light mounting options. I wouldn't do it myself, but that's just me. I wish my garage were as neat and orderly as yours.

OK...I'm confused.....badercarma.....you "SAY" you do some "SERIOUS" wheeling.....why are you running street tires on your truck?!? And why, for the love of God, do you still have ONE of your mud flaps on the rear?!? A "SERIOUS" wheeler would have removed his mudflaps totally, and gotten a nice set of swampers, MT's, or a VERY aggressive AT. And if you were really going for the clean look, no offense bud, but you didn't get it. Something like this: is the "clean look"(even though they aren't facing the rear of the truck, you could do the same thing facing rear.)

ok.. Badercarma.. given the advise you have spewed out in the past and now this.. I believe it is time for a good roast. First off I would like to ask how old you are. From looking at the images on your website I would guess you are still in high school. At least I would hope so because what you are doing to your truck is sad. For those of you that wanted to see the outside of his house.. Here you go And here is what the "serious wheeler" is wheeling these days. Get a clue or go home.
