Anybody else notice the proposed INCREASE in spending for rehabilitation of criminals???? WTF! More education, more job placement etc.... NY Madman is right Bush is sounding more and more liberal everyday.... What about ME! I have worked full time since I was 17. I served my country, I pay my taxes, and bills. I love my wife, I love my country, why do I have to play by the rules and get no brakes, other than those I make myself, while my money goes to useless fucks! I am so sick of everyone else having their hand in my paycheck.........

Where do you think the equipment you used came from? How do you think the Military has become the most powerful on the planet? Have you even driven on and Interstate Highway? Do your kids go to school? Can they read? Do you keep your money in a Bank or Credit Union? Have you ever been to a hospital? have you ever had a flu shot? Do you use the internet? (Wait, I know that one.) Do you think the FBI should monitor terrorism? Would you like to slow the flow of illegal drugs into the US? Do you think we need people to keep illegal immigrants from crossing borders? Do you think landing on the Moon was a good idea? I hate it when Welfare is abused but there are a million good reasons for Taxes. More if you count all the kids who get a better education through government funds, and if they grow up to create something that bennefits America you should probably count that too.

What happened in the last 14 minutes that we had to "nuke a city"? Am I missing something? And I'll throw in the obligatory "Hey Ian, if you don't like it, leave" barb. Or stay and enjoy porn, Guiness and Colorado at your own risk.

Is it just me or is there WAY too much clapping going on during Bushes speeches (although this isn't a bush thing, any big speech made by a politician). I'm not saying that there are no people would want to clap, what I mean is that do people have to clap after every five words? State of the Union:
Tonight, members of Congress
can take pride
in great works of compassion and reform <3 minutes of clapping>
that skeptics had thought impossible. <5 minutes of clapping, people standing up>[/qb] I can't stand sitting through more than a couple minutes of any speech made in the last few years. And why do people that obviously disagree clap anyway? If anybody making a speech says something I don't like I don't stand up clapping, I sit there wondring if I should walk out. It makes it look like all those who attend are mindless sheep.

I hate it when Welfare is abused but there are a million good reasons for Taxes. More if you count all the kids who get a better education through government funds, and if they grow up to create something that bennefits America you should probably count that too. I am not against taxes, and I understand fully what role they play in the scheme of our society, but I do feel that we are taxed far too much, for things that our society could do without. I don't mind paying taxes to fix a road, or contribute to medicine, but I do mind my city/government raising my taxes because they felt the "city" needed two new stadiums etc... I am against raising taxes that take more of my pay and give it to someone who hasn't lifted a finger to help him/herself. Welfare should not be a career. Neither should medical aid. There are far too many people living off of the hard earned pay of the RESPONSIBLE working man/women, while those same working men/women are struggling everyday to make ends meet. I am not talking about the percentage of folks who actually need welfare, those that will use it to get on their feet again and contribute, nor those unemployed who need assistance(which they paid into)until they find a job (been there). I'm talking about those that decide that they are not going to do a damn thing and suck off the rest of us for their entire lives.

It makes it look like all those who attend are mindless sheep. Is this the first State of the Union speech you have ever seen? It's always like that with the clapping. No matter who is president. It used to be more unanimous, but now the Democrats seem to like to show disdain by staying seated or not clapping loudly at certain things. I thought you would have liked the speech. There was a good amount of socialism in there tonight... Some of the more strange: $23 million pilot plan to encourage student drug testing in public schools... WTF??? $300 million training and placement program to help newly released convicts find jobs...WTF??? That money right there alone could hire 5000-6000 border patrol agents for one year. Kerensky.... Your rant on tax money was off the wall. Are you sober right now?

I'd rather dance in a prison cell with a big guy named Bubba than listen to Bush speak for that length of time!

Frankly, anything "Bubba" did when he was president scared me, so I'll go with Bush. I love how people complain about watching a speech like they were "forced" to watch it. After not watching it and looking at the highlights, this is my favorite topic that he covered. It's about time.

They should have played this song as intro:
How does he do it? How do they do it? Uncanny and immutable. This is such a happening tailpipe of a party. Like sugar, the guests are so refined, (look like melting mice)
A confidence man, but why so beleagued? He's not a leader, he's a Texas leaguer Swinging for the fence, got lucky with a strike Drilling for fear, makes the job simple Born on third, thinks he got a triple
