Is there a way to include a spell check tool (similar to the ones for email) when posting a reply? I am wearing out my dictionary. I keep it next to the keyboard so I do not get harangued about mispellings.

Spell checkers cause a huge amount of strain on the server, so we won't be implementing one.
Besides, everyone here is smart enough to hold down a job in order to buy an Xterra, so they should at least have 5th grade spelling skills.

The main reason for typos is people hurrying to post. In order to prevent this, take your time when composing your post, then read it over before clicking the button.

That's not what he meant. XOC was refering to spell checking softwares take up alot of strain on the servers.

If you are so dependent on spell checkers why don't you type out your post into a word processing program and then cut and paste it into XOC.

I've got a great idea....how about having an automatic search function for similar text on a reply once the "reply" button is pressed?

This way we can all get a pop up window that says :

I just type most of my lengthier posts in MS word and copy them over... No little red or green squiggles, no problems.

Now whether it makes sense or not, that a whole ‘nother story
