Have you ever shopped at Amazon or a similar site and seen that they show you relevant items to what you are looking at? Can we do this on this site? I missed a topic relevant to my searches that was in a different forum. Maybe like a second list to the primary search list showing the topic and which forum it is in.

You can search all open forums at the same time. It even says "search all open forums." It is the very first thing you can select in the drop down list of forums to search. It takes a bit of time because there are alot of forums but that should do the trick for you.
