it seems as if everything is going on in north texas
maybe some of us could get together in Houston.
I am new and I just got my X id like to meet some people around here. I know its flat in houston but theres usually some mud around right or maybe just a beer somewhere so i can meet yall

Welcome! SWXC has had some events in Houston in the past, and there are few of us XOCers in the Houston area... It often seems as though I spend every other weekend in Houston with my gf... As far as off roading, there was a site where we could play a bit in Pearland, but that was March 2002...dunno if that is still there anymore...

Just name a time & a place and I'll try to attend. The majority of my time is taken up by work & school but I'm always open to meeting a fellow X'er.

My time is pretty limited as well with work and music.
I usually have about 1 Saturday a month off and my week nights are spent on other projects.
I can do lunch sometime but working downtown is sort of a pain in the ass for going anywhere outside of downtown.

I can usually do stuff on the weekends as weeknights are pretty hard w/ work and school. but I found www.txmud.com and it lists diffrent trails around TX and Houston. But i'm down to do some wheeling any time just let me know.

I don't know if there is anyone else coming from Houston... do you know WHERE IT IS ?
Depending on when you show up, you can find us three ways:
1) FRS channel 5, no codes
2) CB Channel 5
3) The SWXC campsite is at the bottom of Angry Jeep (look on the trail map they give you). Angry jeep is a bit scary if you've never done this before - but go down it slowly and you'll be fine (unless you're in the Altima). There is another way to get to the campsite that you could do with the car... but it would be hard to describe here.

Yes, I know it would be a bit of a drive, but I've been looking for a road trip. If anyone else is comming from Houston, let me know and we can carravan.

The map that they give you really sucks. i wouldn't advise trying to find the trail by yourself, especially after dark. Get on the frs channel 5, or cb and somebody can drive up to the top and meet you and help you down.
