The next SWXC quarterly meeting will be held in Houston. The meeting has been narrowed down to two dates: July 19 or July 26.

The location for the meeting will be the Houston Marq*E Entertainment Center . There are a variety of restaurants within the center. Please let me know which you would prefer:

Cafe Adobe (mexican food)
A&W All-American Foods (50's style diner)
Red Robin (gourmet burgers & spirits)

The weekend of the 26th sounds good.

Red Robin sounds interesting - I'll vote for that if someone can vouch for it.

The 26th would be great for me. The weekend before is the same weekend as Heatwave. I'll probably be the only X competing, but I know that a lot of Austin area people go for fun.

Either weekend is fine for me. Let's see, I was living in Austin for the last meeting, I'm living in Houston right now, so it looks like I'll have to move to Waco or Dallas before the '4th quarterly' meeting to keep the streak alive. :rolleyes:

Either weekend is fine w/me and I'll eat almost anything. This will be my first meeting so I'm looking foward to meeting everyone and seeing everbody's X's

OK there have been ideas thrown around but nothing final said about when the meeting will be. The 26th may be a bad idea for a meeting date as it is also the free memebers weekend/quaterly meeting at Barnwell Mt that some of our members need to be at. Will the 19th work for everyone? We need to decide by Sat June 28th so we can contact Wraingler and see if they can or can't make that date to show us their products. If you don't reply to this thread then we'll have to make the vote without you. Sorry to be blunt but we need to get this decided ASAP.

I like the 19th, but wasn't going to say anything with everyone else liking the 26th. The rest of the family is going to be in the Houston area that week before and it would be easy to come down for the weekend.

I absolutely cannot make the 19th. If we have the meeting then, I will send any input through the other officers.

Anyword on which date Raingler could attend?

If Raingler is making an effort to make it to one of our meetings, then I believe we should try to accomodate their schedule to our best ability. The main reason for suggesting two possible dates was to see which one would be best for Raingler to make. Granted, it would be kind of pointless to have them attend a meeting if the majority of our members are unable to in turn.

I have been working with them to get em to come on the 19th and so far it looks like they can. They are confirming with their Houston rep if s/he can attend that day or not.

Raingler has also asked if we wanted a group buy offer extended to all who attend. For instance - and this is just an example they offered; nothing firm - if say 10 people buy a product, they can get 25% off.

Raingler has said they really want to attend; however, I must agree if no one shows, that would suck for them and our club prestige (imho). I have asked, and Dan can confirm this or not, that we extend our meeting offer to all X owners via the Gerneral forum. It would make sense to as Raingler is going to post on their website if they are attending, so the whole world will know anyhow.

Since most seem to be going for the 19th, lets do that. Paul set it up for the 19th. Carlton can you add this to our website?

The group buy sounds good. Ian mentioned a new net for the rack that holds more??? I am interested in that. I can't get in the garage with my Load warrior and it's PIA taking it on and off all the time.

MarQ is a cool place, but good luck finding a parking spot or a group of parking spots together on the weekend.

I can and will vouch for Red Robin. The food is great, prices are not bad (it is not McDonalds), and it is large enough for the entire club.

There is also the Sushi restaurant there, but it is a little (a lot) expensive, and is definitely out of MY budget.

For those attending, here is the dillio on purchasing Raingler products. Eddie is willing to give those in attendance a group buy discount of 25% off if 10 or more buy stuff.
