It turns out like I might be able to come now. The thing I had planned is not that weekend but the weekend before so I'm ready and willing to meet some avid Xer's. Might See ya there.

Mesquite is a pretty nice area that's a little bit out in the country, but not so far from Dallas that it's isolated.

ya, not trying to be an ass or anything, just pointing something out. But it says in the trunk that there are 4 12 inch L7's, but don't L7's come in silver color not black? I think L5's are the ones in black. Either way, is she goin to Dallas? Cause i'd appreciate her to be there, I'm really looking forward to a hearing aid by the age of 25, and I think that car can help my cause.

They are L7s, just a couple of years old. The new ones are silver. I prefer to stick with the older stuff, it is more reliable.

Raise your hand if you have a butt-load (technical unit of measurement) of stuff to give out at the Truck Show...

Ram:
Congrats on the new job! I hope it's all that you are hoping for.
Judging by the pics of the other Xs, I see there are not only REALLY COOL DIRTY OUTDOORSY Xs, but CLEAN ones that look really great! Rags's X has an awesome stereo.
Ours has the stock Nissan stereo (in fact, the whole vehicle is all stock). It's an OK sound system, but I can see why some folks would opt to upgrade. Ours sounds a bit tinny and the rear speakers are pretty weak unless you stick your head in the back.
For now, we're still enjoying the cleanliness of a new-ish vehicle, but I hope to someday "break it in" in the dirt.
Question... Hot Rodders from the '60s and '70s attached Traction Masters (or other brand of traction bars) to their leaf springs to minimize torquing of the leaf springs during acceleration. Our SC really squats under hard acceleration (especially on the right side) and I am considering this as an option, but don't know how these things would fare in mild off-road situations. It would reduce ground clearance close to the axle by a few inches, but what I'm most curious about is the torque-release would be less slack, and in slippery conditions, I would think you'd want more "give" for smoother throttle tip-in (and less snap to the tires, less spin). Has anyone tried these?

Hey shockin, if you decide to go, tell me cause it'd probably be smart to go at the same time. My brother is also going, but I dunno if he is going in his X. And dude, I dunno if you get my messages? From AOL, cause I know I am, but most the time you are on your phone.
