Alright, on the news the other day they showed that the gas price in ABQ is .01 above the national average of $2.22. Since I thought that $2.23 was a lot, what is everybody else paying and where? Anybody under $2.00?

$2.34, 4th highest in the county and probably the worst economy in the country.

USA Today ran an article saying that the all the state's averages are above $2 now. New Jersey was the last state to reach the $2 average with a $2.02 average and California overtaking Hawaii with the top spot at like $2.44. locally our average is about $2.19.

$2:23 is the cheapest I can find here in Arizona. I'm considering the Acetone option!

2.51 at chevron, 2.48 at shell and the real bargain, 2.44 at Valero!
I'm so tired of this, there is no logical reason for prices to be so high. Last time I looked, there was no shortage, no rationing, no lines at the gas stations, just pure price gouging. Don't tell me the bullshit line about "adjusted for inflation it's cheaper that in the 70's" I don't fucking care about the 70's, the oil companies are making Billions in profits every quarter At least kiss me first, OK fellas...

Here in Denver, I think I paid 2.13 this morning for midgrade after a 6 cent/gallon discount at Safeway (every time you buy over $50 ? bucks in groceries, they give a $.06 per gallon discount, or a $.03 per gallon discount anytime for members (and their prices are already lower. (that was also before I got responses and did research on 85 vs 87 octane gas). I'll be going w/85 next time. I think that'll put me at $2.03 or $2.06 per gallon.
I am getting about 16mpg after my 1st tank in city driving.

I was in Montreal last week and it was $0.99 (cdn) a litre It is around $.85 and $.91 here in Ottawa. So if my math is right (highly suspect)... Using $.85 CDN/Litre at an exchange rate of 1 CAD = 0.818 USD that means I am paying $0.695 USD/litre There are 3.78 litres in a US gallon We are paying $2.627 USD/USG Things that make me wonder if I'm getting screwed... Some Canada facts.. "Goodale previously predicted the surplus for the current fiscal year will likely come in at about $8.9 billion." -why do I pay so much in taxes?? "Canada’s total oil production (including all liquids) was 3.1 million barrels per day (bbl/d) in 2004, making it the seventh-largest oil producer in the world." -we have plenty of water here and it's cheap, why not the gas? "According to Oil and Gas Journal, Canada had a reported 178.8 billion barrels of proven oil reserves in 2005, second only to Saudi Arabia." -giddy-up how about putting some of that surplus into getting that oil outta the mud so I can get cheaper gas.. stoooopid government

I remember when it was .32 cents, my mom would get $2.00 worth and they would clean the windshield and check the oil.
$2.38 here right now and I have to check my own oil, pump my own gas, and wash my own windshield. At that price, I should get an engine rebuild with a full tank.

I totally would not be surprized if we here actually to $3.00 or more this summer for regular since the highest-demand month for gasoline is July. If the demand increases and the supply stays the same - the prices will increase as well.
That's not a comforting though...thank God I don't drive a Hummer.

$2.36 on the military bases, $2.48 up to $2.64 in San Diego...saw prices all the way up to $2.79 for regular when I took I-5 up to San Fran last week. (Oh, yeah...and it's $2.67 for diesel?!?!)
Everyone wondering why the price of gas keeps rising? China has had an 800% increase in the number of privately-owned automobiles in the last 18 months. It's not American SUV owners driving up the market...it's developing economies in China and India.

I paid $1.98 over the weekend. And I didn't have the get out of the truck to pump it either. The ONLY good thing about Jersey is the cheap gas prices. Stone
