Just wondering if anybody recommends an A/C shop or mechanic in or around the lower mainland, i need a few things done and checked, anything to keep me from going back to the dealershits.

S & M Automotive on Venables St just west of Commercial Dr does great work.

Was rated second in a 2004 Georgia Straight poll: http://www.straight.com/content.cfm?id=5210
if that means anything. Word of mouth is always best with repair shops.

what's the matter with your AC... I don't know what my problem is but my AC unit destroys belts at an alarming rate.

I have some loud belt noise when i idle and when i accelerate (at least i assume it's one of the belts, or maybe the pulley/tensioner). It's like a loud squeaking/sqealing noise and I want to get it checked out.

Thanks guys, if anybody else has a trusty shop/mechanic feel free to add ur 2 cents.

It looks like your location is in Vancouver but don't know how far you wanna drive...I have a buddy that works in a shop in Port Moody. He does good work (nope, not biased!! laugh ) and I'm sure he would try and cut ya a deal as well. I'll pass along more info if ya wanna consider it.

He works at a Boyd Autobody/Circuit Frame & Suspension. Its actually on the Coquitlam/Port Moody border, just in behind the Pasta Polo off of Barnet Hwy/St Johns st. He has worked on anything and everything so I'm sure he would definantly be able to fix it up good for ya! If you want more info just let me know.
