I am concidering moving to WA SOON!

Actually next week the wife and myself are going for a 2-week trip to check out the job market and weather,etc.

So here's the question...

My job perspectives are located in the greater Tacoma area (Kent or Pacific), and from what we've been able to glean from the internet there area a few towns that seem to fit our lifestyle in that area are:

Puyallup
Sumner
Bonney Lake
Gig Harbor
(Still open to other suggestions...)

My other hobbies includ waterskiing (seems this area has it covered with Lake Tapps close by), Hotrodding (I can afford enough property to build a shop - unlike in Cali), and of course Four-Wheeling...so where do you all wheel?

From what I have run down here the list of things I like are:

Rocks
Sand
Moderate to Extreme trails

Dislikes include:

Mud (even though I know it rains there a lot, so this might be a pipe dream!)

Smart thing is NOT TO BUY in King County!
There are quite few places to go with a variety of terrains. Most of them are an hour to two hours away.

I'm going to tell you one thing right now!

If you are going to be working in the Tacoma area do NOT buy a house in Gig Harbor. Gig Harbor is nice, but getting to and from Tacoma from there is absolutely a mess.

Little further from town, but Enumclaw and Buckly are nice towns that I highly recommend. Not sure about the commute to Tacoma from there though? A bonus with Enumclaw is that it puts you closer to the Naches Wagon trail, which is probably the best wheeling in WA. My other favorite wheeling spot in the State is the Table Mountain Ranger District, which is near Cle Elum.
