I am considering relocating to Tacoma - well, that is if the city chooses to invite me. smile

Wondering about the cost of housing. Looking for we have a three bedroom and that is most likely what we would need.

Any websites where I can get good information would be appreciated.

Come buy mine! $145,000 for 1200 sq ft! Single car garage, 3 bdrm, 1 bath.

But look at Craig's list for Seattle Tacoma and contact a local realtor for housing.

Okay,

Still gathering information on Tacoma. Are there any really good web based maps available. Does the county assessor have anything?

I'm still in the running for the position. Transit would be important to get to and from work on Market Street.

I saw that the city refers to 8 neighborhood areas. Any significant differences between each area?

Mapquest maps are the best I have seen.
Personally I think North Tacoma is the best. It's a nicer area of older homes and has views of Commmencement Bay.

For the bus schedule:

For stuff about the city:

Looking for homes still? This is what my relator recommends, it is the largest MLS lister:

If you could show me how the city is divided into 8 sections I can show you the good parts!

Well,

Toyman, Living in Pueblo (Pewtown)Colorado, I would at least be making a lateral transfer to the "aroma of Tacoma". Both industrial based communities.

I got my test results and got marked down for not having shoreline and wetland permitting experience. Hell, I live in Colorado, its a semi-arid area. I'll have to brush up on this type of thing in order to improve my chances.

My chances have reduced considerably. So, I keep searching for other opportunities.
