I grabbed a bunch of pics from previous years and tossed them up on the PNWX site. Check it out and see what we've been up to! 2005 is going to be awesome; want to get your truck dirty and figure out where the trails are? Come along for a spin.

The pics can be found in the 'Recent Events' section of http://www.pnwx.net

That goes way back to the early days I believe, not entirely sure of the story but maybe Toyman will see this and fill us in. I'm curious too! smile

As I recall, sine Toyman hardly comes here anymore...he stopped and parked the truck on the side of the road, the soft shoulder gave way. No one in it. Minimal damage.

Hmmm - I visit this section about once a year and what do I see.

This happened 4 or 5 months after I purchased my 2000 X. My wife and I had been out with PNWX and then had split off to drive some back roads. The wife wanted to get a better look at a waterfall so I backed up onto the dirt pullout. Got the rear end too close the edge and as I stopped and put the transmission in Park, the edge gave way and we SLOWLY went down backwards into the ravine turning onto the passenger side about 1/2 way down. No damage to us other than to my ego.

We hitched a ride into Tillamook Oregon, found a wrecker (Sunday night) and got hauled back Beaverton Oregon by 10pm. Three weeks and 5 grand later, it was like new. No drive train damage, just body damage on the right side and the rear hatch.

I always wonder about the fluids in the engine, but I guess only the engine oil and tranny oil aren't pressurized/sealed - I guess you just check the level, or change it, and off you go? Any mess in the engine bay?

Sure does look bad - at least no one was hurt!

Actually, the engine oil can go into the intake and pool. When the vehicle is uprighted, then the oil can go into any cylinder that happens to have an open intake valve.

Turning the engine over at that point can hydralock it. Continuing to turn it over at that point can bend a rod.

When Jorge rolled, I had to take the SuperCharger off to get to all of the spark plugs to pull them out. Then we turned the engine over to get the oil out.

After that, filling the fluids is a must.
