Hey guys, this is sort of off-topic, but my wife and I just bought a new car! A 2004 Acura TSX! Woohoo! We got a super good deal - $25,250 - because the car was a demo (1900 miles on it). Just wanted to share my excitement with you!

I admit, I had no idea what a TSX is. (Damn these car companies who use confusing letters and number combinations to name their vehicles) How the heck am I supposed to know the difference between an MDX, RSX, TL, or whatever? I liked it better wne Acura had cars with the names of... Integra, Legend, and Vigor. But I guess only "high end" manufacturers use letters and numbers (ie. Audi, Acura, BMW, etc). Anyways, in my search to find out what a TSX is, I found this site. Are you going to join now? http://www.acura-tsx.com/

http://www.acura-tsx.com/ Hee...heee... I just clicked on the link, and I saw Dean's user name on the site, "who's online" section already. I guess that answers your question. :p Dean, Congratulations. That's a very nice looking car...And, it looks fast.

Hahah! I joined that forum a week or two ago, asked some questions about the car and which dealers were better before I made my final decision to buy. It was either the Acura TSX (aka Euro-spec Honda Accord) or the 2003 Mazda6 sedan (V6 model). The TSX is a more elegant and refined car, though... The car we got is a 5-speed automatic, blue exterior, black interior. There are only 4 TSX models: AT, MT, AT/Navi, and MT/Navi. It's already fully loaded in its "base" form, so it's got all the bells and whistles (visit www.acura.com or www.edmunds.com for the full specs, or read Car and Driver 's review) Since we're giving our 140,000-mile-young 93 Honda Accord coupe to a relative, the TSX will be my new "commuter", and the Pathfinder will be my wife's daily driver. Since she only works 4 miles from our home, it's a no-brainer to save on gas and to keep the miles from racking up. The truck turned 120,000 over the weekend!!! The car is still at the dealer being prepped and getting LoJack installed. I'll eventually have the dealer install a rear wing spoiler and possibly some fog lights, and then, I might get the wheels chromed and tint the windows, too.

Nice car, Dean. Ooooo...Sequential SportShift - always a nice alternative to the 6-speed. I bet you're going to have some fun with that. When you mention bells and whistles, does that include the voice recognition navigation system? Hehe. BTW, what color did you get? Arctic Blue Pearl? One of the 2 silvers?

BTW, what color did you get? Arctic Blue Pearl? One of the 2 silvers? Arctic Blue Pearl, No NAV. Didn't like it, nor did I want to pay the extra $2000. I've already got a $400 Garmin that works plenty good, plus I doubt the Navi will be that useful, considering most of our "adventures" take place in the truck. Originally posted by dirty dee: what kind of horespower are we looking at? you're gonna enjoy your commutes to work now in a sporty coupe 200hp, 4-cylinder, 23/31mpg, 0-60 in about 7 sec.... sure beats the 15/15mpg, 16-sec 0-60 in the Pathfinder! And it's a 4-door, too. We wouldn't even consider a coupe (it's what our Accord is now), since we may need the extra space in a few years.

A few nights ago I took it on the twisties of Highway 9 (Huey, that was the road we drove up when we went mountain biking) and the car handled amazingly well - much better than I thought cars could handle, and a helluvalot better than my truck, too!

Can I bring my brother's monster Excursion (trying to sell) so I can run over both of your rices while giving him some free advertising at the same time?

BTW, Matt and I have been talking about doing a Sunday drive on some twisties around the bay if you or anyone else want to come (bring some horse power though ).

You'll be glad to know he's selling it because he just bought a '03 F-250 Powerstroke. I don't think he's going to be modifying it quite as much as he did the Excursion.
