Robert-
Subject to passenger capacity, ride-alongs are always welcome when newbies/stockers would like to experience tougher 4-wheeling from the security and safety of a more capable vehicle. The only logistical issue would be where to park your truck so it's easy to pick up after the run.

I'll have room in the jalopy (secure and safe??) if people need rides, and we can probably park people's trucks in the staging area at beginning of the trail. - Matt

A few quick notes... We can decide about Sun when the event comes. We can either do ride-alongs for Barker OHV or arrange for an easier run for Barker Loop. Also no need to bring/shop for food unless you want to. All meals can be bought as we will be close to stores and retuarants. BTW dave5434, you can meet us in Truckee, but I think it would be easier to park somewhere on Route 28 in Incline and listen for us on FRS8 at around 10am (there is a chance we will be there at 9:30 depending on traffic).

I just want to go on a trip with other people and maybe get a chance to use the lockers. Come on out on September 26 and run Barker Pass with us. You just might get a chance to use those lockers. Depending on who attends the "advanced" run we may even decide to run out to Observation Point and back.[/b]I thought this was a Nissan only event? I didn't want to crash your party. If a toyota is welcome then I just might join you guys. If not, then no problem...

Dave I sent you a Private Message with my moble number. Just give me a call that Sat and we'll meet up with ya. Steve, you are more than welcome to join us on Sun. Sat, is a semi-Nissan only event. You can hang out with us on sat, but won't be able to enter your Toy in the show and shine contest. You can however hang out with us, attend the event, get a free lunch and schwag, and do the wheeling trip with us. Just be sure to arrive with the group.

What's Up Dave - I'm a stocker aswell, I'm like 12 miles from Vallejo, but most likely will caravan with the group with a little back tracking (which I don't mind). I'll be heading (maybe) back to the Bay Area on Sunday before the run, so if you like we can caravan back together if you decided not to ride along on the sunday run.

You're in dood! cep' that it is not really neccessary that you give your cell phone # like that (I would delete it ASAP), who knows an asswipe might call you and tells you that the event was cancelled. PM Huey for details on how to meet up.

Here's a nifty trick for the Best Xterra of Show contest...you don't need a highly modded X to win as a matter of fact mods mean nothing. What they are looking for is an extremely clean X. You then get extra points for out door gear and mods attached. So if you have bike racks, bikes, canoes, camping gear, etc...you can earn big points. Keep in mind if you are camping you will need to safely store this stuff and if you are wheeling, it will need to be tightly secured!

(If you have a modded but dirty X, it won't be as worthy as a cherried out, sparkling stock X.) Last year, only Akio had recently washed his truck, and it looked nice! Huey and Andy both had theirs in the show, but they were dirty (especially Andy's which looked more dust-colored than black). Akio won by a long shot. Since we're not bringing food preparation supplies with us, use that extra space for armor-all and windex!

Huey got the 1st for having a not too dirty truck w/ a long list of mods. I got the 2nd for having a shiny truck w/ a couple of mods listed, and Andy got the 3rd for having a dirty truck w/ lots of mods listed. So, if you want to win, make sure that your truck is VERY clean as Dean said.
