I am not able to stay overnight. I am going to a Ren Faire on Sunday at Fair Oaks Park. I plan on coming up and do the trail on Saturday and drive out that evening.

Maybe, but it looks like they're opting for Corral Hollow.

Matt & Bandit (p-town at 9am) I'm down for some gas burning, and I'll even bring two kinds of corn for Dean. What do you guys think of contacting the FJ club to see if they want to meet up somewhere and do a multi-club trail run? We'll have to stop at the Snowshoe Brewery on the way in to fill up the growlers. - Matt

Depends if I can get time this week to test drive. The fuel lines got replaced but I didn't get much running time. I also plumbed in a tranny temp gauge so I need to verify that is leak free.
Otherwise I may be only in for a ride along.

As for Geoff, you guys might not want to follow him up there, he might dump all his gas all over the road and ignite it. You never know...

This joke was much funnier in person with the hand waving and shocked expression as Steve described Huey seeing a hugh fireball on the road ahead of him. To bad you all missed that.

We're planning on camping Friday nite, probably at Calaveras Big Trees. Would it work for us to join you at the Big Trees entrance or visitor center sometime after 12 Saturday as you drive thru that area?

Sounds good Jean. Make sure your FRS is on channel 8 and I'll call out. We will probably hit Big Trees around 1? Just keep an eye out for us and possibly a few new Toyota FJs.

Hey, how many campers will there be? Between the FJ's and the X's (+ jalopy), will there be enough space on the trail for all of us?

One more thing- 9am departure time places us in Angels camp before 11:30am. That leaves enough time to refuel (if necessary) and get some food at the local grocery store.

Also I'm fairly sure it only takes 2 hours to get to angels camp (I've been checking the travel times our last few trips).

Yeah, I guess my point was that, with an arrival time of 11:00am and departure time of 12:00 from Burger King in Angels Camp, we're gonna have lots o' spare time to take care of shopping and refueling.

Ah gotcha...we do have a tendancy to dilly dally quite a bit, so I guess I padded it a bit.

The truck has passed phase 1 and 2 of it's trials and seems to be up to a weekend trip thus far.

First time I am going to join a NorCal Xterra Owners Club outing. Second XOC outing. I was at GoneMoab this year. I hope its not too late to sign up.
I'd like to meet people I can go 4 wheeling with locally. I live in Fremont. I think this is a great opportunity.
