Are you interested in a wheeling/camping trip?

I'm thinking to go near Yosemite NP on either 4/2-3 or 4/9-10 weekend.

Difficulty is similar to Peligreen... Stocks can handle it, nothing extreme, but not just a dirt road. Probably and hopefully a great scenary.

I'm sure that it's still pretty cold at night...there might be some snow on the ground, but if you're seriously interested in going, please reply with the preferred weekend dates.

P.S. Sorry Kevin... I just can't wait until May. I'll think of another trip for early May. :p

4/2-3 is okay with me. But if the majority votes 9-10 it will be fine with me too,

Which weekend would you prefer, Bob?

I just looked around, and the trail I'm considering is @ from 1,600 ft - 3,900 ft.

Some pictures posted here are apparently from SourGrass, which is @ about 4,000 ft.

So, I don't think we don't have to worry about trail blocked by snow, at least...

Hmm...I think I need to plan a day trip, I've been itching for some wheelin.

Took a day off and went skiing yesterday, coming down I-80, I noticed that around 4000 ft (or less) there was still alot of snow on the ground (and above 5-6000 ft, everything was blanket). With another cold storm coming next week, you're maybe camping on the snow

I see that the Lake Tahoe area is still forecasting some snow... Thanks Sonny for the snow report. I just checked for the next 10 days weather in Mariposa area...(That's the closest city from the trip.) The weather looks pretty good. At this point, there is no rain in the forecast.

So, I'd say the weather for this coming weekend is still good.

o0o0o0o me me me i'd like to go! we'll have to see how the finances look but i think i can make it... my vote would be for the 9-10 but i really don't care when it happens!
